Vintage Framed Cultured Pearl Oyster Shell Growth Display

Decorative vintage cultured pearl and oyster cycle of life framed specimen, made in Japan.

In the early 1950s Akoya cultured pearls were popular as were these cycle of life framed pieces of art.

The carved and painted wooden frame measures 12-3/4" long by 11" wide and 1-1/2" deep. The glass is in excellent condition and the shells and pearls are quite lovely showing their growth cycle from 1 month to 6 months.
