1940s Mark Hopkins Hotel, San Francisco Food Cover

Lovely vintage silver plated food cover from the historic Mark Hopkins Hotel atop San Francisco's Nob Hill.

The cover has a faint crest script across the side and an ornate rim. It has polished up beautifully and has a bright, shiny patina.

Nice condition with some scratches and dings. Quite a heavy, solid piece.

It measures 10-1/2" long by 7-1/2" wide and stands approx. 3-1/2" tall. Manufactured by Reed & Barton and stamped, "Mark Hopkins". Date symbol is 1948.

A marvelous early piece of hotel silver from a fine hotel!

This piece was acquired from the estate of Robert Yuen, a fourth generation San Franciscan, and a lifelong collector of hotelware.
