Vintage River Club, New York City Monogrammed Teapot
Highly collectible vintage silver plate teapot from New York's preeminent River Club.
Founded in 1931, The River Club was an immediate success amongst New York’s most prominent families, including the Astors, Roosevelts, and Vanderbilts. A family club by design, with equality between men and women, The River Club set itself apart from the start as a full-service sporting and social club right in the heart of the city. The pot has the club's logo on the front. It is quite shapely and measures 6" tall and 7-3/4" wide from handle to spout.
Nice patina and interior has some light wear but can be used for serving.
