1878 Antique Sterling Silver Award Medal Best Ayshire Bull

Beautiful and collectible large Victorian Scottish sterling silver agricultural prize fob medal weighing an impressive 31 grams.

The outer rim of the medal has been crafted as a laurel wreath with the beautiful engraved presentation inscription reading: "Awarded at Lawrie & Symington's EIGHTH ANNUAL SHOW For best one year old AYRSHIRE BULL bred by Exhibitor- LANARK 14th May 1878". The back is not engraved.

Medal is convex and measures 2-1/2" tall not including the large bale, by 1-3/8" wide.

This would look marvelous on a silver chain or ribbon. Wear long or short and layer with other chains for a popular look.
