1926 Mark Hopkins Hotel, San Francisco Crested Champagne Bucket

Superb 1926 silver plate crest champagne bucket from the legendary Mark Hopkins Hotel atop San Francisco's Nob Hill. This piece is part of a collection that was acquired from a former chef at the Mark Hopkins.

This gorgeous bucket has tab handles with the large old Mark Hopkins crest. It has polished up beautifully and has a sparkling bright patina inside and out.

It is quite heavy and measures 13-1/2" from handle to handle. The opening diameter is 10" and it stands approx. 5" tall.

It is not for the perfectionist, as collectors of hotel silver understand. We love hotel silver's age worn beauty. The bucket has a ding on one side and a dent on the rim of one edge of the side. This does not detract from its rarity and timeless beauty.

It's manufactured by Gorham and stamped, "Mark Hopkins 1926".
