19th C. Gorham Sterling Silver Medallion Oversized Ice Tongs

Masterfully crafted 19th century (c. 1864) oversized sterling silver ice tongs in the pattern Medallion by Gorham.

This piece features double chicken claw prongs, as well as two different medallions on the end of the handle. One side of features woman's bust and the other side is a man's bust.

The tongs measure 10" long and weigh 6.04 ounces. Superb condition.
