Antique French Majolica Elephant Pitcher

Charming early 20th century French Sarreguemines Majolica elephant pitcher.

Beautifully modeled as a whimsical elephant with a richly decorated red handle and turban, accented with soft blush and cream tones.

It measures 7-1/2" tall and 5-1/2" deep. Excellent condition. Some paint loss on one of the paws. No chips or cracks. Unmarked, but definitely French.

A wonderful and unusual example of French figural faience!
