Large 1905 Edwardian Sterling Silver Horse Show Trophy

Gorgeous large Edwardian era sterling silver horse show trophy.

It is hand engraved with a beautiful font. Presented as first prize to Charles McCutchen for the Local Harness Horse division at the 1905 Plainfield Horse Show. The show was hosted annually by the Plainfield Riding and Driving Club in Plainfield, New Jersey.

The trophy measures 9" tall and 8-1/4" from handle to handle. It weighs 14.7 troy ounces.

It has a glowing bright patina and is in lovely condition with 1 small ding on the front and 2 minute dings on the backside. Stamped sterling 925/1000 fine 1236A along with Mauser maker's mark.
