Rare Antique Alexander Hamilton Hotel Reserved Table Sign

From my personal collection, a rare and wonderful silver plate reserved sign/table number holder from the Alexander Hamilton Hotel in Paterson, New Jersey. Opened in 1930, the 170-room Alexander Hamilton Hotel was a luxurious fixture in downtown Paterson, a magnet for the rich and powerful, and a popular venue for society events and political dealings.

This double-sided reserved sign has been featured in numerous publications and is a sought out piece for the serious hotel silver collector.

It is quite fancy and large, measuring 8" tall by 4-1/2" wide. "RESERVED" is on both sides of the sign. It also has a slot that would have been used for table numbers.

Manufactured by L. Barth and stamped, "Alexander Hamilton Hotel".
