Rare Davenport Hotel, Spokane Crested Teapot

From my personal collection, an incredibly rare, fancy antique teapot from the historic Davenport Hotel in Spokane, Washington. Originally a successful high-end restaurant, it is one of the possible places where the first Crab Louis (reportedly named after Louis Davenport) was created and served. The hotel was designed by architect Kirtland Cutter and built in 1914. It's still in existence today.

The large, shapely teapot bears the hotel's cresst and has ornate detail. It's polished up beautifully with a mirror bright patina. The interior has traces of wear.

It measures 7-3/4" tall and 6-3/4" wide from handle to spout. It holds two pints.

Manufactured by Reed & Barton and stamped, "Davenport Hotel". Pre-dates 1928--most likely the year that the hotel opened.

A glorious piece to add to your collection!
